The Carice Singers began in the North Cotswolds. A group of us who had met on choral courses and in youth choirs hatched a plan to perform mainly Elgar part-songs in George’s home area (including outside!). Carice Elgar was chosen as our emblem because we wanted to continue the tradition of performing and enthusing about her father's music.
