About the Event
The village of Naunton is a gem of the Cotswolds. For a summer's evening in this ancient parish church, we will perform deeply spiritual work by J.S. Bach and Arvo Pärt alongside Benjamin Britten's iconic Sacred and Profane. Britten's masterly setting of seven Medieval Lyrics captures their atmosphere with powerful, viruosic flair. Pärt's music brings listeners into a state of fragily tranquility which graudally builds to moments of great spiritual intensity.
